Our Founders
Anne
Anne’s heart has always been in the homeschooling community. For over 10 years, she worked behind the scenes at Homeschool.com before it was sold, acting as a bridge between families and the businesses that serve them. She has helped thousands of organizations understand how to better support the needs of home educators, ensuring that the right resources get into the hands of the parents who need them most.
But beyond her professional work, Anne is a veteran homeschool mom first. She understands the long-term rewards of this path, having guided her own children through their primary years and on to some of the most respected universities in the country, including UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, Mills College, and University of the Pacific. Anne brings that same eye for excellence and a “been-there-done-that” wisdom to every resource we review.
Bonnie
Bonnie is a homeschool mom who wears many hats. With a long career as a professional editor and content strategist, she has spent years behind the scenes with some of the world’s major publishing houses. While her name might not be on the cover, her fingerprints are all over the textbooks and instructional materials that many of us use at our kitchen tables every day. She has a deep, professional understanding of how to build a solid curriculum, but she also knows exactly how those lessons play out in the hands of a real child on a busy Tuesday morning.
Bonnie teamed up with Anne to start Homeschool Awards because she saw how crowded the market was becoming. She wanted to create a trusted space where parents could find high-quality tools without the guesswork. Between her background in shaping educational content and her daily life as a home educator, Bonnie is passionate about identifying the “gold standard” of resources—the ones that truly help our children grow and succeed.
